One Year Anniversary of Brussels Attack

America's best friend in this world is Great Britain. We have had a tempestuous and turbulent wild history in the beginning of America with Great Britain, which has mellowed and melded into a devoted friendship. We have a mutually cultivated and shared bond that has grown and outlived lesser ideologies throughout the centuries. This unique bond between us has sustained our successful friendship and familial connections that few other nations can boast. It was shocking today, when the banner shouting, "Breaking News", came across the television screen. When disturbed persons with a social ax to grind,(so to speak), lashed out at society, in London today. Unfortunately, it is not unthinkable, that they would use the most common devices literally, at hand, to commit heinous atrocities on innocent people. Was this attack pre-planned? If so, how long had it been brewing? How many persons were involved in the planning? Who were these persons? Why in London? Why this day? There is an answer to at least one of these major questions.

It is exactly, the 1 year Anniversary of the Brussels Airport's deadly attack perpetrated by ISIS, who claimed responsibility following the attacks in Brussels. Why does ISIS usually wait 24 hours after an attack to claim credit?

Granny Annie has decided to serve "chicken" as today's lunch entree.

Granny Annie's Politic Cafe London Broiled Lemon Chicken

1/2 cup of Star brand Roasted garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 tblsp. red wine vinegar
   1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. coarse ground pepper
   1 cup fresh lemon juice
   2 tblsp. chopped parsley
3 lbs. of fresh chicken pieces with skin on
(reserve 1 fresh lemon sliced into 7 wedges for garnishment)

Pour 1/2 of mixture into a separate large bowl. Place chicken pieces into bowl of sauce mixture and let soak for 30 minutes. Preheat broiler and move oven rack 6 inches from heat. Mix olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley and lemon juice in a large bowl. Place separate pieces of chicken skin down on a greased baking sheet or a greased shallow baking dish. Broil for 15 minutes and then turn all pieces of chicken and let broil for another 15 minutes on opposite side. Remove chicken from oven and pour remaining sauce mixture over all chicken and continue to broil chicken for an additional 10-15 more minutes until chicken is thoroughly cooked and crispy, golden brown. Sprinkle lightly with dried parsley and serve chicken adorned with sliced lemon wedges.

May God Bless our brothers and sisters across the great pond in England. We earnestly send our love, care and sympathy, as a family united, praying for your safety and wellness to overcome this tragedy.

                                                  "Boner Appertite!"
