Putin Warned Trump...

Good evening! The midday sun has emitted a heat that I can imagine feels like frying in a kind of atmospheric convection oven. I could feel my exposed skin being slightly seared, as I puttered in the yard.

As we approach the coming holiday weekend, my thoughts turn to fall. Days of cool gentle winds and dark starless nights that leave me fearfully wondering, what changes tomorrow will bring. I do not fear the changing seasons because I know that they are merely the markers that G-d leaves for us to signal the close of one chapter of our lives and begin another fresh chapter we have yet to write, in this thick, torrid and leathery earth bound volume of our owned experiences--we call, "Our Life".

It has been a little while now... but I still remember all the delight and gaity of celebrating fall festivals, in small County Fair style.

When I think of fall, I automatically think of long ago County Fair events like "Punkin' Chunkin', blue ribbon pie eating contests and craft fairs that featured homemade quilts".

Fall is the national season of celebrating America's hometown fun. The kind of home grown fun ranging from high school football games and stock car shows, to the highly anticipated, "Oktoberfest!" Pitchers of German beer served under canvas tents with Bratwurst, Schnitzel, grilled pork sausages and plentiful sides of sauerkraut, complimented by fresh soft pretzels... and buzzing with more beer, farts and giggles, than the law allows!

The memories of perfectly performed and orchestrated Polka dance contests and the joyous noise of blue ribbon winners, perfumed the country air with the aura of simple, clean fun and excitement, not to be missed. The joviality would continue into the late evening as twilight would begin to fall at the edge of the world's horizon, beyond the walls of baled hay and  beer tent flaps.

Then tents would close and local musicians and the legendary, "almost famous" B-list performers, assembled on stage in the midway. Crowds of the young, almost young and young at heart, gathered to dance, romance and revel under the stars. It was glorious! Way better, than playing bingo at the American Legion Hall, on Friday night!

Tonight I go to bed, hoping I will dream about other cool nights, spent laughing and drinking German beer with friends. Re-living lost memories of youth, without a single care in the world, once again. Recollections, undisturbed by today's dangerously changing world that would threaten to butt in and shatter those beautiful moments in time, so long ago.

                                             "Good Night!" and "Sweet Dreams!"

                                                             "Boner Appertite!"
