Julia Child's Melodysheep Tune Had the Secret Recipe...This Is The Way To Live

Good Day! Today, I've been watching "Julia Child Cooking" and listening to that delightful little "MELODYSHEEP" tune--"Keep On Cooking"!

Julia Child had a fascinating life that inspired many people through her passion for cooking and the love she put into her art. She left behind a memorable legacy. Perhaps, her legacy didn't change the world, but I have no doubt that it changed the art of her craft, for millions of people.

There is one common bond everyone shares... food. The bond extends from the hands of the growers, the field workers, factory workers, those who transport it to market, the retailers and wholesalers, the hands of the clerks who display and stock it on the shelves. Finally, to us and the loved ones we gather around our tables, to share the food that fills our stomachs and warms our hearts, with the tastes and smells of homemade love.

What humanity does now in America, shows the world,  the real truth about the heart of America for the most vulnerable among us.

Imagine, if America was a huge farm and all our neighbors, friends and family were paid to work and taxed to contribute to the general good of that farm. At the end of the work day, they were gathered to dine with the overseers. They gathered everyday together, to share in a meal made from all their hard work. The table is set with the best china and the table is filled with bowls and platters of food. There's enough food for everyone present.

The overseers sit at the head of the table and decide who is worthy to eat. But, some overseers deny the ones they think may be less worthy to partake. Still those unfortunate workers must still sit there until dinner is finished.  Friends, neighbors and family watch the well-fed finish eating their fill. The overseers with their chosen few are done and stand up to leave rubbing their bellies like fully engorged, blood-sucking, Rocky Mountain wood ticks. They leave behind them, the unlucky few denied even the smallest charity from the table of their overseers. Some start to collapse from starvation and the overseers and their chosen few leave the table self-satisfied, never looking back.

This is not the America of my birth, that lets only the rich eat from the table of prosperity and the poor die, starving for help and uncared for.  It seems like Democracy is being perverted on a daily basis by those who want control, for their own selfish and hard-hearted agenda's.

The repeal of Obamacare has been a mission of the Republican party since Trump's election. They have finally achieved their goal at the price of millions of less fortunate Americans. They have given credence to the theory that Republicans only care about money and improving their own lives by sacrificing the welfare of our nation.

What legacy do they leave behind on the table?
