If and when, the 3 AM call rings in the White House, (God forbid) we already know Trump will be awake to answer, as long as it's not a weekend when he's in Florida vacationing at the Weekend White House. The man with the Nuclear Codes will be deciding at that very moment within minutes, (not hours or days later) whether to use the last and greatest weapon of defense/destruction known to mankind, before waking anyone else up to discuss it. The other world leaders will follow protocol, detonating/exchanging their nuclear bombs over America within minutes, as we with our children and Grandchildren sleep oblivious to the ending of the world around us. No, none of the 8 Supreme Court justices will be awake to go into an emergency session to stop Trump from pushing the buttons that will end mankind as we know it, in those few precious last moments of our life.
Could we lay our heads on our pillows tonight, and some of us wake up tomorrow to begin living in a melted and disintegrated world tomorrow, because our Twitter-in-Chief used that Nuclear Code?
Some say that would never happen.
Trumps unstable and temperamental behavior leaves me more convinced that it might. In 1914 the author, H.G.Wells wrote, "WWI was the war to end all wars"...he was wrong,... it didn't. Popular and important newspapers of the day, ran headlines saying, "The Titanic Is Unsinkable",...they were wrong... it wasn't. They asked one woman who after, she and her husband had bought tickets to sail on Titanic's maiden voyage to America, why they didn't go? She responded because everyone said nothing could destroy it and that it was unsinkable. She felt afraid, because she said she believed, "It flew in the face of God", and that man was not wiser than God. I am afraid when people predict something will NEVER happen,... NEVER happens.
