America's Infrastructure Crisis

America has a general infrastructure crisis. During Trump's election campaign he promised to launch massive infrastructure improvement programs. Due to the huge cost of maintenance and repair, dams are one of the most significant and costly improvements in the federal aid budget.. One of the greatest infrastructure building periods in U.S. history was all about dams. The Grand Coulee Dam and the Hoover Dam were the 2 best remembered WPA projects of the 30's and 40's and economic boosts of that era. Their benefits have been felt for more than 70 years now, but are in need of maintenance, repair and replacement in some cases.
The current emergency situation in California should place this issue at the forefront of the national work projects requests to be enacted immediately.
President Trump has already threatened to cut federal funding to California to punish the state for non-compliance to his recent edicts. The issue of infrastructure shouldn't be used as political football by Trump or the Republican Congress. But because we have been shown the mean-spirited and retaliatory nature of His Majesty, it's a sure bet that he will not help the people who live in the state of California. His Majesty will likely ignore any requests from California for federal aid.
