TCA solution...REPRICE MEDICAL BILLS

The answer is nothing new to auto insurance carriers, when they have to pay for injured people's medical coverage caused by their insured driver. ALL medical providers submit to the PATENTED REPRICE FORMULA!!! They comply with this arrangement or they may not get paid...period. The insurance company holds the checkbook. Every auto insurance company teaches their insurance adjusters this #1 lesson on their first day of employment.

If auto insurance companies can use the "REPRICE FORMULA AGREEMENT", the same can be used with healthcare insurance companies. So, what's the holdup? It's profit!

There's a War Brewing in Middle America and It's About to Boil Over!

Good Morning! The news channels have been all abuzz since yesterday, about the fractious passage of the TCA in the House of Representatives.

There is a war brewing in America. It is a civil war over healthcare between the rich and the poor. If our elected leaders fail to recognize this major priority in the lives of their voters, it will be at risk of their political careers. There are multiple examples throughout history, that have seriously demonstrated this fact. What is wrong with these politicians, that they cannot see it?

How do professional politicians think millions of American voters and their families with pre-existing medical conditions will feel about re-electing members of Congress, if they are eliminated from health care insurance, because they cannot afford to eat daily and pay for coverage?

What do the members of Congress, think millions of American voters will remember about them, celebrating their "WIN"? The grieved and over-burdened voters, will not forget the names and faces of their elected politicians standing around laughing and grinning in photos, at the White House popping champagne corks in the rose garden, while they are left to die. How will the images of American voters dying outside the doors of their local hometown clinics and hospitals, subsidized with taxpayer money, appear to the world?

Are the members of Congress short-sighted soldiers, just following orders or are they snakes, in disguise, who spend their day slithering through the halls of Congress consuming smaller creatures they can overpower for their own self-satisfying benefit. One could say, this collection of serpents seem to have convened in a most appropriate place... in the sweet political creche of Pres. Trump's rose garden.

Either way, there's a civil war brewing in middle America, over healthcare for the rich and healthcare for the poor. How long can elected officials governing America, taking bribes from big Pharma and Healthcare Insurance Companies lobbyists to legislate policies, ignore the best interest of taxpaying constituents? Maybe, the answer is...long enough to get voted out of office?

Republican's Passed the TCA

It's a sunny afternoon and blasts of warm air blows against the fluttering sheets of vertical blinds, in the open window of Grandpoppy's office. Our old television is on and the "Breaking News", of the day announces the Republican win in the House of Representatives for the Trump Care Act. The bill will go to the Senate for vote, next. If the bill passes there, it will become the law of the land, replacing Obamacare.

So much is at stake for so many people, who live with pre-existing medical conditions. It has been said, that this bill will increase their cost of healthcare premiums by 5 times the current rate and their deductibles by 3 times the current rate. If these assumptions are borne out to be fact, within the coming years, then the lack of affordable healthcare will decimate the demographic population of seniors 55 years and older. It seems like a backhanded way to eliminate an entire demographic population of the country's poorest and sickest people.

Hitler had a social program that eliminated the financial drain on the German government responsible for providing medical and healthcare benefits for the physically and mentally disabled, terminally ill and elderly population, too. It was introduced as a humane and compassionate response to the poor's costly afflictions, cloaked as euthanasia. It was called the Aktion T4 program.

If the Republican's Trump Care Act fails the American people, it will have the same results.

Time is the test, that will prove whether the 2017 TCA... is truly the humane and compassionate response of our elected government officials, to it's most vulnerable citizens... the poor and the sick.

If the Trumpcare Act Fails American Citizens...

Good evening! It's been a little humid today, but it's a lovely breezy evening, now. I've been walking in the sunshine today with Max and Millie, wandering a lonely coastline and thinking about tomorrow.

There are so many problems in the nation. The priorities are monumental. The number of priorities seem to grow daily. Each societal problem, with it's own unique intricacies, jockeying for attention, on the list of Presidential priorities needing solutions. Each of the problems need to be addressed and their solutions require Congressional passage enacted in a timely manner for the welfare of our country. It's a full plate of problems, for every legislator working in Washington, D.C.

Tomorrow is scheduled for the Trumpcare vote. It will prove to be a landmark legacy, for better or for worse. Trump's name will be permanently embedded into every overcharged healthcare premium, of every patient in America, who has a pre-existing medical condition. If voters are denied healthcare coverage due to opt-out states or overcharged unaffordable coverage premiums, it is certain that the next election cycle will remove those Republican legislators from office. Voters will turn out in droves and it is highly unlikely, that those registered voters will forget which Republican candidate betrayed them and their best interests.

If elected politicians, leave sick American voter's dying on the side of the road, outside the doors of their local hospital...that is when lobbyists bribes (better known as political donations)from high powered health insurance companies, influencing the votes and politician's agendas, won't be over-looked, forgotten or forgiven. We hope they remember that!

If that happens, Pres. Donald J. Trump will end up being hated by Americans with pre-existing medical conditions and their families who help daily to bear that hardship, as much as Pres. Herbert Hoover and Pres.Warren G. Harding. That's important to consider, if you're counting on building a Presidential Library to honor your Presidential legacy, in your post-Presidential years.

Trump's New Deal ...Laughter Is A Crime

Well, it has happened, the Trump Administration's Justice Dept. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has prosecuted  61 year old female activist Desiree Fairooz. Her crime was committed, when she laughed at Sen. Richard Shelby's remarks praising Sen. Jeff Sessions at his Senate Confirmation Hearings for the position of  Attorney General. Sen. Shelby suggested that Jeff Sessions had a clear and well-documented history of treating all Americans equally under the law.  In 1986, Sen. Richard Shelby ran a campaign ad suggesting that Sessions called the KKK, a bunch of "good ole boys".

Huffington Post's reporter Ryan J. Rilley, was covering the event at the time, he states that Ms. Fairooz laughter did NOT  disrupt the hearing or interrupt Sen. Shelby's speech. She was summarily arrested and charged with "disorderly and disruptive conduct" and "parading, demonstrating and picketing within the Capitol". She has since been convicted and faces up to a year in jail.

This is only the beginning act in dismantling the "Bill of Rights", for every American who dares to express any disagreement with government policy or with any well-placed, exalted government employed demagogue whose wages are paid by the American citizen's taxes.

"Who do they think they are?"

People like Jeff Sessions, who now wields enough power to arrest, prosecute and convict you for laughing. People with the power to punish you for laughing at them.

A JURY JUST CONVICTED A WOMAN FOR LAUGHING AT JEFF SESSIONS

Vanity Fair Magazine

The Justice Department will not press federal charges against two white Baton Rouge police officers involved in last year's shooting death of a black man, Alton Sterling, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday, bringing renewed attention to how Attorney General Jeff Sessions, already controversial, is choosing to deal with allegations of police bias and racially motivated shootings. The decision is not entirely surprising: federal civil rights charges in such cases are rare, due to the high burden of proof, and even the Obama-era D.O.J. repeatedly declined to charge police officers involved in high-profile deaths. Still, it is stunning to see what cases Donald Trump’s attorney general has decided to prosecute.

On Wednesday, a jury convicted a 61-year-old female activist who had laughed during Sessions’s January confirmation hearing in the Senate. Desiree Fairooz, a longtime protester affiliated with the anti-war group Code Pink, had been escorted out of the room for laughing in response to Senator Richard Shelby's assertion that Sessions had a “clear and well-documented” history of “treating all Americans equally under the law.” (Sessions had, in fact, been denied a federal judgeship in 1986 because of a history of racially charged remarks, and Shelby himself had once run a campaign ad suggesting that Sessions was a Klan sympathizer.) Fairooz, along with two other protesters, faces up to a year in prison.

The Huffington Post’s Ryan J. Reilly, who was covering the hearing at the time, reported that Fairooz’s laugh was not disruptive to the hearing and did not interrupt Shelby’s speech. But Fairooz was arrested by a rookie Capitol police officer on her second week on the job who, according to Reilly, “had never conducted an arrest before nor worked at a congressional hearing.” Nevertheless, Katherine Coronado and the Capitol police booked Fairooz. She was later charged by the government with “disorderly and disruptive conduct” for her laugh, as well as a second charge for “parading, demonstrating, or picketing within the Capitol” as she was being led out.

Fairooz has protested at several congressional hearings, and likely knows the difference between being intentionally disruptive and respectful of decorum. “Why am I being taken out of here?” she asked as she was arrested. “I was going to be quiet, and now you’re going to have me arrested? For what?”

During Fairooz’s trial on Monday, fellow Code Pink activist Ariel Gold testified that Fairooz was reflexively laughing in response to Sessions’s claims, and that she was “appalled” when Fairooz was arrested. Coronado, on the other hand, said she did not think Shelby’s statement was funny enough to warrant a laugh and noted that Fairooz was laughing “very loudly”—enough for people to turn their heads and look at her.

The decision to prosecute the three protesters suggests a distinctly Trumpian approach to law and order has taken hold within the Justice Department. It is also sure to have a chilling effect on protest and other forms of free speech that are already in the Trump administration’s crosshairs. On Sunday, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said that pushing for a change to the nation’s libel laws “is being looked at”—a move that would restrict the press, though one that many legal experts suggest isn’t going anywhere. Trump has previously suggested that “We're going to open up the libel laws so when they write falsely we can sue the media and we can get these stories corrected and get damages.” He has also taken aim at protesters directly, claiming without evidence in February that an unspecified demonstration was composed of “professional anarchists” and “thugs.” He is currently facing multiple lawsuits accusing him of inciting violence against protesters at his rallies.

Jimmy Kimmel's First Hand Experience...

Good Afternoon! I had my cup of coffee and turned on the television, this morning to catch up on the news in the headlines. CNN showed a clip of the Jimmy Kimmel Show. The show had a small segment, where Jimmy Kimmel talked about going to the hospital and his first hand experience of emergency life saving surgery performed on his infant son to correct a congenital heart defect.

Jimmy communicated a very passionate and visceral response to his audience through his personal experience. In a deeply moving outcry, he spoke on behalf of every parent living in America. He exhorted our lawmakers in Congress, to make healthcare truly affordable for everyone. Jimmy's plea was both somber and sincere. He chastised members of Congress to quit using our nation's healthcare as a political football and get down to the business of making legislation to protect the poorest and most vulnerable citizens in America. Poor people, who have no other means to obtain healthcare, except for medicare/medicaid, which is being brazenly and shamelessly dismantled by out-of-touch rich Republican politicians in Washington, D.C. and coaxed by special interest lobbyists working for the nation's biggest health insurance companies. Too frequently, the attitude of big business and their heartless, rich, conceited CEO's running their companies, is that poverty makes you less of a human being, undeserving of the basic fundamental blessings of living in America.

Jimmy realized his fortune and the misfortune of the other parents, standing in the waiting room of the hospital and exactly what that meant! Jimmy's show, streamed into the homes, hearts and hands of millions of Americans watching, the refusal of medical care based on the ability to pay, because you are not rich enough to afford healthcare, should NEVER happen in America.

Americans are the people who inhabit the richest country on earth. Today, they are the descendants of the many generations of people who dared to dream and worked and sacrificed to make this country...the richest country on earth. Jimmy was right... it shouldn't happen here. As he said solemnly, head bowed, with a steady voice..."not here"!

Jimmy said his infant son was born with a hole in his heart, so was my Aunt, who died at 9 years old. My Mother said that walking, was exhausting for her undernourished, little sister, who they loved and carried from place to place. My Grandparents did the best they could for my Aunt, but because my Grandparents were poor, uneducated, migrant American farm workers who had no health insurance to pay for cardiac specialists or open heart surgery, she died. They barely could find the money to pay for her to be examined by a general practicing doctor, much less, anything else. They worked picking fruit in the strawberry fields of Southern California. Medicare/Medicaid programs had not been established then. Charity from churches, was the only way to receive any financial help to pay medical bills. There was no government assistance to pay for their little girl's medical care.

When she died, they carried her dead body back to their ancestral home in the Ozark Mountains, to the cemetery of our kin.  Her weak, innocent child's body was laid in a grave surrounded by all of our Great-Grandfathers and Great-Grandmothers graves, from long ago. It was a place by the little cobblestone church, built by the hands of sturdy, strong mountain men, across from the baptismal waters flowing from the clear spring-fed creek, on the other side of the 2 lane road cut through the woods. Momma said it ripped their hearts out. They stayed living in the Ozark Mountains, after that. They never left again, no matter how poor they became. Hope for a better life, had disappeared when Aunt Suzie died, for them... forever. Momma said, that they figured they could stay just as poor living around family, as they could living around strangers.

Unless, Congress passes legislation that doesn't penalize people with pre-existing health conditions, the national Trumpcare plan won't make any difference. How has healthcare changed from that time, during the Great Depression era, compared to now, by that measure? My Grandparents would still not be able to pay for my Aunt's healthcare due to her pre-existing congenital heart defect. Even if she had lived, she would still be disqualified and prevented from getting affordable health insurance today, under the proposed ACA Trumpcare plan.

One hundred years ago, the Republicans were considered to be the Progressive party. Now, the Democrats claim that exalted mantra today, with little proof. Theodore Roosevelt was an altruistic statesman and proved instrumental in changing the flavor of choice politics in his day, but his political platform didn't last.

The Progressive Party Platform

The main work of the convention was the platform, which set forth the new party's appeal to the voters. It included a broad range of social and political reforms long advocated by progressives. It spoke with near-religious fervor, and the candidate himself promised, "Our cause is based on the eternal principle of righteousness; and even though we, who now lead may for the time fail, in the end the cause itself shall triumph."

The platform's main theme was reversing the domination of politics by business interests, which allegedly controlled the Republican and Democratic parties, alike. The platform asserted that:
To destroy this invisible Government, to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.

To that end, the platform called for:
In the social sphere the platform called for:
The political reforms proposed included:
The platform also urged states to adopt measures for "direct democracy", including:
  • The recall election (citizens may remove an elected official before the end of his term)
  • The referendum (citizens may decide on a law by popular vote)
  • The initiative (citizens may propose a law by petition and enact it by popular vote)
  • Judicial recall (when a court declares a law unconstitutional, the citizens may override that ruling by popular vote).[11]
Besides these measures, the platform called for reductions in the tariff, and limitations on naval armaments by international agreement.
The biggest controversy at the convention was over the platform section dealing with trusts and monopolies. The convention approved a strong "trust-busting" plank, but Perkins had it replaced with language that spoke only of "strong National regulation" and "permanent active [Federal] supervision" of major corporations. This retreat shocked reformers like Pinchot, who blamed it on Perkins. The result was a deep split in the new party that was never resolved.[12]
In general the platform expressed Roosevelt's "New Nationalism", an extension of his earlier philosophy of the Square Deal. He called for new restraints on the power of federal and state judges along with a strong executive to regulate industry, protect the working classes, and carry on great national projects. This New Nationalism was paternalistic, in direct contrast to Wilson's individualistic philosophy of "New Freedom". However, once elected, Wilson's actual program resembled Roosevelt's ideas, apart from the notion of reining in judges.[13]
Roosevelt also favored a vigorous foreign policy, including strong military power. Though the platform called for limiting naval armaments, it also recommended the construction of two new battleships per year, much to the distress of outright pacifists such as Jane Addams.[14]

Oops...He Did It Again

Trump exhibited a little more senile dementia, in his Sirius XM interview today. I thought everyone had to take a history class in high school, but apparently, I was wrong! Trump's preposterous historical account and assertions of Pres. Andrew Jackson's opposition to the civil war, is hilarious, if it weren't so disturbing!

When will Congress make an amendment requiring a mandatory psychological/medical examination by 3 licensed/accredited Doctors, for all Presidential candidates? Amended Presidential eligibility requirements including a mandatory full disclosure and submission of the last 10 years of Federal Income Tax returns, to be publicly posted? It is true, that the current "archaic rules", (as Trump would probably call them) are limited in scope of practical usefulness, in the furtherance of helping registered voters discern/ascertain who are qualified candidates, free of mental/medical defect.

March 29, 2017 President Trump spoke to a Women's Empowerment group at the White House, during the Women's Empowerment Month. He asked if anyone had heard of Susan B. Anthony? Pres. Trump must have been asleep during history class in high school and during Pres. Jimmy Carter's term of office, because he had just learned about her!

I wonder if Alzheimer's runs in his family? I am scared, this is the man who carries the nuclear codes? Sweet Mother of G-d!!!

Susan B. Anthony Dollar

SBA DollarSusan B. Anthony was the first woman to be honored by having her likeness appear on a circulating United States coin. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed the Susan B. Anthony Dollar Coin Act into law (Public Law 95-447). This law amended the Coinage Act of 1965, changing the size, weight, and design of the one-dollar coin. On July 2, 1979, the U. S. Mint officially released the Susan B. Anthony coin in Rochester, NY, the home of Susan B. Anthony during the most politically active years of her life. In 1979, 757,813,744 coins were produced. Additional coins were dated 1980, 1981 (numanistic items only), and 1999. Ultimately, the United States Mint produced 888,842,452 Susan B. Anthony coins for circulation.
In 1997, Congress passed the United States $1 Coin Act (Public Law 104-124, Sec. 4), replacing the Susan B. Anthony dollar with the golden dollar coin. The golden color of this new coin, combined with a smoother edge and wider border, helps to more easily differentiate it from a quarter. The act also authorized the Secretary of Treasury to continue to mint Susan B. Anthony coins until such time as the production of new golden coins was ready. In 1999, the final 41,368,000 Susan B. Anthony coins were minted. The coins continue in circulation today. Susan B. Anthony coins until such time as the production of new golden coins was ready.
